our classes

All of our preschool classrooms are designed for children to use their natural desire to explore the world around them through a play-based approach to learning. This child-initiated, teacher-guided curriculum is implemented through a variety of interest areas such as art, sensory, dramatic play, math, science, and writing. Learning will be paired with Bible stories, Bible verses and prayer, along with visits to the playground/outdoor nature center, large-motor room, and the science room.

  • test

    3 year olds

    We aim to create curious learners and problem solvers. Children will have ample time to explore and create at learning centers set up throughout the room. Activities change regularly and are designed to help strengthen small and large motor skills, social and emotional skills, independence and self-care, creativity, language development, and number sense. We especially love music, art, storytelling, Jesus time, and dramatic play. Full day classes will have rest time after lunch, followed by additional center time and one-on-one/small group enrichment activities. For half-day students, once you feel your child is ready for full day you may extend their day to a full-day.

  • 4 year olds

    Our 4-year-olds will be provided with activities designed to enhance kindergarten readiness skills. This class will focus on social and emotional skills, friendship building, and extend attention span to create foundational learning and academic skills. Our goal is to ensure your child is socially, emotionally, and academically ready for the next step in learning, wrapped in the love of Jesus. For half-day students, once you feel your child is ready for full day you may extend their day to a full-day

  • 5 year olds

    This class is designed to give children who are 5 (or will be 5 by October 31) an additional year to grow socially, emotionally, and academically before a successful transition to Kindergarten. The school day is organized much like a preschool day with activities that strengthen communication skills, build class community, and encourage play-based learning. We strive to encourage a love for learning and wonder of God’s creation.

  • ages 2-5

    Mixed-age classrooms include a range of ages in the same classroom. The younger children look up to the older ones as role models and the older children look forward to the opportunity to be mentors!

Mt. Olive Preschool has been an absolute blessing to our family! I had a couple friends recommend this preschool for [my son], so I enrolled him, and the rest is history! We have recently moved and are so bummed, because the bar has been set extremely high by this preschool and now we’ll have to try and find another one.
